Week 47 - I've Been Transferred Again!

 Howdy folks!

I am now in my new area! It's called Timber Creek, in Keller Texas. It's super cool, but small. It's also a bike area which is fun. This is the first bike area I have ever had on my mission so I'm definitely enjoying it. I'm also the District Leader here, and it was super fun to meet those in my District and Zone. My companion is Elder Marsh, and he is an awesome lad. He is from Salt Lake City and he literally knows who has won the championship games in the United States / Canada for Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, and Rugby since their leagues were invented till the present day! What a stud.

This week was great because I had the opprotunity to meet with some of the members in the ward and share a scripture with them. I really love seeing how the gospel of Jesus Christ truely blesses us and our families.

This week I want to share a scripture. We share this one a lot as missionaries. It comes from Helaman 5:12.

And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

I love this verse because it's so true. When we build our lives upon the gospel of Christ or the "rock of our Redeemer" we can stand steadfast againt the "mighty winds" of the devil. If we build on the foundation of Christ we will not fall.

I hope you all will build your lives around Christ. I know that since I have, I have felt so much peace and comfort and love from our Heavenly Father, and I want everyone to feel that same way.

I hope you all have a great week, and If you have any questions for me about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, shoot me an email!

Love,
Elder Delgado

Week 45 & 46 - I'm being transferred again!

 Hey y'all!

Long time no see, it's been a week or two, and I've got some news! I'm being transfered! I'll be heading to the Alliance Zone working in Timber Creek. I'll be serving as a District Leader again, and I can't wait to get to know my knew District and Zone! I'll have a new companion. His name is Elder Marsh and I'm super excited to meet him too.

Some neat things have happened this past week or two. We went bowling as a Zone, we got a new Washer and Dryer (No more laundromat! Hallelujah!), we visited one of our favorite elderly ladies who is blind, we did service at the animal shelter, and I read the scriptures a lot.

I love scriptures! Especially because they bring me peace in times of turmoil. I can't count how many times I've been overwelmed or stressed out and every thing feels chaotic, but once I open those pages every worry diminishes, and all I feel is peace, joy, and a comforting feeling. I know that when I feel this way it is the Spirit of God touching my heart and bearing witness to me that the words I'm reading are not only true but are a necessity to our everyday lives. I know the Book of Mormon and Bible to be true scripture because I know the spirit testifies of truth, and I feel this way when I read them.

I invite each and every one of you to read the Book of Mormon, and feast upon the words of Christ. I know that if you have a question the Book of Mormon has an answer.

I hope every one of y'all have an outstanding week, and rember all the many blessings you have been given instead of all your missfortunes.

Love,
Elder Delgado

Week 43 & 44 - I Caught A Toad!

 Howdy folks!

I realized that I didnt send an email last week, sorry for those who wanted to read it. I was just busy and totally forgot about it.

But not much has changed over the past week. We just try to keep busy in these COVID days. We went to the dog shelter on saturday. Dogs are cool and super fun to play with espessially the puppies!

On Thursday I was on an exchange with Elder Ashcraft, and we talked with the ASL (American Sign Language) Elders to a guy named John. It was super cool and he had questions about our Church and we had answers. He is super nice and respectful!

I hope y'all dont mind my short emails. I just try to include a few highlights of the week to keep if short, because who likes reading long emails, right?!

Anyways I love y'all. God loves y'all and so does Jesus Christ. Always remember to dare to do right!
